PEST CONTROL TECHNICIAN TO INCLUDE ASSISTANCE ON CRAWL SPACE SERVICES & ATTIC INSULATION SERVICES
NO PREVIOUS PEST CONTROL EXPERIENCE NEEDED! ON THE JOB TRAINING OFFERED AND CERTIFICATION AVAILABLE AFTER TRAINING COMPLETION. HOURLY RATE PLUS COMMISSION BASED PAY.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Inspect various types of residential & commercial structures for the presence of various pests to possibly include termites. Apply control strategies that may include the application of pesticides for the control of various insects according to local, state and federal law and SCPC requirements. Customer service aspects including being timely, answering questions, making recommendations, collecting payment and other various needs. You should also be able to efficiently carry out all duties without damaging customers’ property.
PEST CONTROL TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determining the kind of treatment required to eliminate a particular type of pest
- Advising customers on the kind of treatment required to eliminate identified pests
- Ability to work from sketches, drawings, plans or specifications
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to apply pesticides chemicals in accordance with established regulations and to read, understand and follow chemical label instructions
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations to estimate materials and time needed to complete task
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate with a diverse population
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., crawl through attics, use a ladder to access roofs, and inspect crawl spaces
- Skilled in the use of tools and equipment necessary to perform tasks
- Keep service vehicle organized, professional, clean and follow all related regulations
- Maintain proper inventory of tools, equipment, and materials in company vehicle
- Maintain professional appearance including clean company uniform, appropriate footwear and maintaining personal hygiene
PEST CONTROL TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- A clean driving record
- The ability to pass a background check including a drug screen
- Provide documentation of ability to work in the United States
- The ability to work in all weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Detail-oriented
