We are excited to offer this fun and innovated job opportunity to one lucky resident in Eastern Kentucky! We are looking for someone FUN, outgoing, witty, hip on social media trends and good with editing apps like TikTok and caput.
You do not have to be a professional photographer or videographer but need to be good at getting appealing content and editing it with an iPhone. There will be an office to work out of, but most of this job will be out in the wild grabbing content at local events, concerts, hiking, biking, lake life and golf. All things Prestonsburg.
A Social Media Manager is responsible for overseeing an organization's social media presence, developing strategies, creating content, and engaging with the audience to enhance brand visibility, loyalty, and community engagement. Their job duties typically include:
1. Strategy Development:
- Content Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to achieve marketing goals, such as increasing brand awareness, engagement, or conversions.
- Platform Selection: Choose appropriate social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok) based on the target audience and objectives.
- Campaign Planning: Create and manage social media campaigns, from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with broader marketing goals.
2. Content Creation:
- Copywriting: Write engaging, clear, and persuasive copy for social media posts, ads, captions, and blogs that align with the brand voice and target audience.
- Visual Content: Oversee or create visuals such as images, infographics, videos, and stories that support the overall strategy.
- Content Calendar: Develop a content calendar to plan and schedule posts, ensuring consistent and timely updates across platforms.
3. Community Engagement:
- Customer Interaction: Respond to comments, messages, and mentions across social platforms to foster engagement and build relationships with followers.
- Brand Advocacy: Act as the voice of the brand online, ensuring the tone is consistent and positive, while handling any customer complaints or issues in a professional manner.

5. Social Media Advertising:
- Paid Campaigns: Create and manage paid social media campaigns (e.g., Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads) to reach specific marketing goals, such as lead generation or sales.
- Budget Management: Allocate and manage budgets for paid campaigns, optimizing ads for cost-effectiveness and ROI.
6. Trend Monitoring:
- Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, algorithms, and best practices to keep the brand ahead of the curve.
- Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activity on social media to identify opportunities and threats.
7. Collaboration with Other Teams:
