We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation and delivery of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of products. Your ability to communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams will be essential in ensuring smooth logistics operations and customer satisfaction.
Hourly Rate: $28
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the movement of goods from suppliers to the warehouse and from the warehouse to customers
- Monitor shipments to ensure they arrive on time and in good condition
- Work closely with carriers and transportation companies to negotiate rates and schedules
- Track and update shipping schedules, providing status updates to internal teams and customers
- Collaborate with procurement, inventory, and warehouse teams to ensure inventory levels are maintained and shipping operations run smoothly
- Verify and prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and invoices
- Resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or incorrect shipments
- Assist in the development of logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, transportation costs, and delivery schedules
- Identify and recommend improvements in logistics processes to optimize delivery times and costs
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards related to transportation and shipping
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication skills to interact with carriers, vendors, and internal teams
- Proficiency with logistics software, warehouse management systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and best practices is a plus
