We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Logistics Manager to oversee the end-to-end logistics operations of our company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing transportation, warehousing, inventory, and distribution to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. You will lead a team of logistics professionals, optimize supply chain processes, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Hourly Rate: $28
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring efficient transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain performance, reduce costs, and improve delivery efficiency
- Lead, train, and manage a team of logistics coordinators, warehouse staff, and transportation personnel
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and transportation providers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring that stock is efficiently stored and available for order fulfillment
- Analyze logistics performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management and identifying areas for improvement
- Negotiate contracts with logistics providers, carriers, and vendors to secure competitive rates and reliable service
- Address and resolve any issues related to shipping delays, product damages, or inventory discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards across all logistics and transportation activities
- Oversee the management of logistics budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective solutions
- Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, sales, customer service) to streamline operations and improve customer satisfaction
- Manage logistics documentation, including shipping schedules, bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork
- Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices to stay competitive and innovative in logistics management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- In-depth knowledge of logistics software, transportation management systems (TMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Strong analytical skills to assess performance, track key metrics, and generate actionable insights
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with vendors, carriers, and internal teams
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and optimize processes for cost reduction and efficiency
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address logistics issues quickly and effectively
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, including transportation, inventory management, and distribution
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in transportation and logistics operations
