Job Overview: In this role the Manufacturing Engineer is expected to contribute new ideas, find innovative methods to accomplish company goals, and lead value creation by example.
This position will work alongside Operations, Quality, and Sales teams to improve and implement changes that increase operator’s efficiency, support current products, and contribute to company growth by estimating new Request for Quote opportunities.

Responsibilities
(CNC Manufacturing Support 50% of role)
This person will be responsible for supporting the Quality and Operations teams with respect to CNC machining current and new products. Engineering support may include but is not limited to:
· Performing studies and analyzing reports to improve operator efficiency, tool life, and reduce waste.
· Prototype machining of part design and procurement of necessary tooling, fixturing, and work holding.
· Ensure successful new product launches. Including creation of necessary BOM and Routing in ERP system.
· Develop and implement process improvements for CNC machining operations.
(Request For Quote RFQ Estimation 50% of role)
This position will support the Sales team by owning the RFQ estimation process for new part requests. Engineering support may include but is not limited to:
· Identifying optimal CNC machine processing for new opportunities and identifying associated costs.
· Identifying new raw material costs.
· Identifying and quoting new outside vendor costs.
· Identifying and learning new technologies and processing techniques that may offer a competitive advantage.
· Use quoting software for new part quote completion and communication with the Sales team.
Qualifications
· B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (ME or MET), or equivalent technical degree or technical experience: Required
· Experience CNC Machining 5 years: Required
· Experience CNC Programming 5 years (milling and turning): Required
· Metal machining experience is required.
· Strong manufacturing knowledge of turning and milling ferrous, non-ferrous bar and castings.
· Strong manufacturing knowledge of work-holding, quality inspection, and new technology being used in the manufacturing environment.
· Proficient in CAD & CAM software (e.g. Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and other engineering design tools.
· Proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
