We are seeking a full-time Construction Technology Sales Specialist, based out of our Cedar Rapids branch, with a territory covering the state of Iowa. This position will develop long term partnerships with our customers, while promoting all aspects of Star Equipment in a professional manner. The Construction Technology Sales Specialist will be responsible for planning and executing sales of the Topcon product mix and associated machine control product lines.

What will you do at Star Equipment?
- Sell, Demonstrate, and train end users on Star Equipment Ltd.’s laser, GPS, and machine control product offerings. (Somero, Topcon, & Trimble)
- Maintain technical and product knowledge of technology equipment marketed and sold by Star Equipment.
- Build long-term relationships within the territory to maximize customer and company profitability.
- Develop a keen awareness of competitive products, as well as business and industry trends
- Work in conjunction with the inside sales team, to ensure customer expectations and timelines are met.
- Gain knowledge of General Construction, Site Grading, and Concrete/Asphalt Paving best practices and how to apply technology to their respective business
What are we looking for?
- Professional skills in sales, time and territory management.
- Construction or Ag Industry Experience
- Clean driving record
- Class A CDL license or the ability to obtain one
- Outside sales experience preferred
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Out-going, Confident Personality
- Great Communication Skills
- Problem Solving Mindset
- Ability to Train Customers on products and methods.
