As a Market Manager, Essential Responsibilities Include
- Set direction for and lead the retail sales operation in an assigned geographic market.
- Assist in establishing, managing, tracking, and accomplishing Retail Branch goals and objectives within a specified market.
- Provide guidance and coaching to staff related to retail sales initiatives, which include affiliate referrals, promotional campaigns, new product launches and day-to-day production levels.
- Align the focus of Branch Managers and their staff with bank and overall market opportunities and goals.
- Generates new business to assist in meeting or exceeding sales, growth and profitability goals.
- Implements strategies to achieve goals established for office.
- Maintains and updates knowledge relating to changes in Bank products, services and procedures.
- Responsible for all daily operational functions of a branch location such as staff, security, audits, compliance, facilities maintenance and operational policies and procedures.
- Ensures that operating procedures are followed.
- Manages and coaches the staff in addition to other Human Resources responsibilities such as: hiring, and if necessary disciplinary action and dismissal, setting and monitoring annual and quarterly goals, coaching, career development, completing timely performance appraisals, and recommending merit increases.
- Ensures that branch staff effectively meets customer’s needs by referring and selling the appropriate products, services, and lending options that will benefit the customer and enhance their banking relationship.
- Support company-wide sales initiatives, conduct regular sales meetings, and establish coaching programs for retail branch staff.
- Responsible for promoting and supporting the Customer Solutions Center and other delivery channels.
- Demonstrated technical ability to perform required duties and the ability to keep current on new products, loan promotions, and all services offered, including mobile banking and other electronic delivery technology.
- Proven ability to concurrently manage multiple priorities and meet required deadlines.
- Proven results in an inside sales capacity.
- Proven ability to successfully manage employees in remote locations.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Demonstrated oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to provide superior customer service through face to face and phone conversations.
- Ability to turn a low production office into a high production office.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
