Medical Assistant Front and Back Office

We are a 2 provider podiatry practice looking for an experienced front/back office medical assistant. We are looking for someone with at least 2 years medical office experience in private practice. We are looking for someone who has a good work ethic and provides excellent patient care.

Medical Assistant Responsibilities

• Greeting, rooming, and triaging patients
• Obtaining vital signs and a thorough medical history
• Inputting medical history as well as chief complaints into EMR
• Preparing equipment and injections for podiatric physician
• Ensuring patient rooms are clean and equipped
• Providing compassionate care to patients
• Working with office manager to ensure inventory is up to date
• Answering and directing phone calls
• Ensuring medication refills are done on a timely basis
• Requesting medical records as needed
• Ensuring referrals and medical records are sent out in a timely manner
• Providing referrals and orders to patients as instructed
• Assisting in casting and orthotic scanning
• Ensuring instrumentation is sterilized
• Cross training at the front desk

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Degree
• Experience with EMR
• Spanish speaking a Plus
• BLS/CPR certified
• Minimum 1 Year front or back office medical experience a MUST
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Xray certification preferred but can obtain after hiring
• Prefer podiatric/ortho experience however not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
