STAR is seeking a dynamic leader to join our Minneapolis team as a full-time Custom Warehouse Manager. The ideal candidate for this job will possess a collaborative spirit, a commitment to exceeding expectations, outstanding people leadership skills and demonstrated ability to seek out and drive changes that increase efficiencies
The Warehouse Manager will oversee the entire freight management process, ensuring efficient traffic of shipments in and out of the warehouse. This role emphasizes meeting timelines and ensuring shipments meet specifications. The Warehouse Manager will also be responsible for workforce planning to ensure adequate coverage, leading the strategy for storage, establishing and managing vendor relationships, and acting as the liaison between client services and the warehouse
Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the end-to-end process of managing freight.

- Ensure timely and accurate shipment of goods.

- Monitor and ensure shipments meet specifications

- Manage the flow of shipments in and out of the warehouse.

- Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely delivery.

- Plan and schedule workforce to ensure coverage aligns with workload.

- Monitor and adjust staffing levels as needed.

- Develop and implement strategies for efficient storage.

- Ensure optimal use of warehouse space.

- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors.

- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance.

- Act as the primary point of contact between client services and the warehouse.

- Address and resolve any issues related to shipments and storage.

- Act as a Servant Leader providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
- Create a positive and transparent work environment
- Experience effectively leading a team of 10-12 warehouse team members
- Oversee end-to-end inventory management

- Ensure accurate tracking and control of inventory levels.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse management and inventory experience.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software.
- Proven ability to lead the team as a Servant Leader
- Experience in working with and rolling out applications and tech solutions to create efficiencies and control costs.
