Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Conduct initial patient assessments and triage in emergency situations
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and symptoms
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Operate medical equipment and perform procedures as needed
Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- Previous experience in emergency room or critical care settings preferred
- Knowledge of internal medicine, ophthalmology, and critical care transport is a plus
- Familiarity with Athenahealth and Epic electronic health records systems
- Ability to perform triage effectively and efficiently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required
- Ability to work well under pressure and in high-stress situations
