Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by meticulously handling and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Utilize aseptic techniques to decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment inventory
- Adhere to established protocols for handling and disposing of contaminated items
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies
- Monitor sterilization equipment to guarantee proper functioning and perform routine maintenance as needed
Experience
- Proficiency in sterile processing techniques
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience in inventory management within a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with sterile processing equipment and procedures
- Certification in Sterile Processing preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $39,000.00 per year
