What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Event Server position at Star Lanes Polaris?
Description
Job Duties:
- Be a friendly and professional point of contact for event clients to touch base on their event order details and say hello on the day of their event.
- Provide a memorable guest experience by interacting with corporate clients and social event guests and providing prompt and courteous service throughout their visit.
- Welcome guests upon their arrival and take additional food and beverage orders beyond the event packages according to the guest's specifications.
- Anticipate guest's needs in advance to make them feel comfortable such as additional table needs, drink refills, serveware, clearing the table, etc.
- Enter guest orders and close out checks using our point of service system, MICROS.
- Maintain venue safety and sanitation, assist with linens and event buffet set up.
- Demonstrate menu and party package knowledge and use the knowledge to enthusiastically make recommendations about addint menu items, entertainment options in the venue, booking future parties with us, etc.
- Partner with all team members on ensuring venue standards are kept up
- Complete side work such as: rolling silverware, uploading logos into our system for companies to display on the screens, replenishing condiments, napkins, serveware, refreshing party rooms, cleaning and displaying menus etc
- Uphold local liquor and food handling laws
Requirements
Age requirement:
