Description
Star Lumber is seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team.
As a Delivery Driver at Star Lumber, you will be responsible for delivering building materials and other products to our customers in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.
· Complete deliveries of building material products in and around the Wichita area.
- Products include lumber, siding, windows, doors, cabinets, decking and more.
· Proper loading and unloading of materials at store and customer jobsites.
· Accurate logging of delivery stops.
· Follow all DOT safety policies and requirements.
· Deliver products to customers in a safe and timely manner.
Requirements
· Requires a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
· Must possess the ability to drive interstate.
· Must be able to physically load and unload building materials on/off truck.
· Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
· Must meet all DOT requirements and possess or be able to obtain a DOT medical card.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and push or pull 100 lbs. frequently.
Preferred Experience:
· Experience with building materials.
· Knowledge of Wichita metropolitan area.
