What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Night Auditor (Hampton Inn) position at Star Management Group, LLC?
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper completion of all front office and night audit duties.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of all Nights Shift staff.
- Greet and assist guests with check-in, check-out, and any overnight inquiries.
- Process reservations received from sales office and other hotel departments.
- Respond promptly to guest requests, concerns, and emergencies.
- Resolve guest complaints effectively, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Effectively, properly, and accurately analyze the days operating results and perform daily assigned duties including:

- Conduct the Night Audit in accordance with the SMG standards.
- Operations Analysis & Reporting:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable and direct billing
- End of day statistics
- Labor hours
- Reconcile Daily Revenue Report (DRR)

- Ensure the lobby/breakfast area and front desk area are clean, organized, and stocked.
- Prepare for the next day’s activities, including setting up breakfast items or reports for staff.
- Monitor security cameras and conduct property walks to ensure safety and security.
- Handle overnight reservations and cancellations.
- Prepare front desk for the morning shift by ensuring all reports and paperwork are complete.
- Communicate any issues or guest feedback to the morning staff or management.
- Function as the Manager on Duty (MOD).
- Be proficient in the use of the property management system and be able to train front desk personnel on the system.
- Have a good understanding of all of hotel operating procedures.
- Review front office communications logs.
- Be able to use all front office equipment such as credit card machines, and the property management system.
- Inform the General Manager of any unique situations, or unusual developments in front office operations.
- Be knowledgeable of room types and offered rate plans.
- Fully understand hotel’s franchise policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows.
- Promote goodwill by being courteous, friendly, and helpful to guests, managers, and all other associates.
