What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Accountant position at Star Nova US LLC?
- Manage and analyze inventory financial records to ensure accurate valuation and reporting.
- Perform financial analysis of production processes, including cost trends, profitability analysis, and capital expenditure reviews.
- Prepare and maintain the cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations, cost variance reports, and inventory management reports.
- Oversee staff accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closings.
- Prepare for audits and support external auditors during the review of financial statements and internal controls.
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to senior management.
- Perform regular inventory reconciliations and manage cycle counts or physical inventories.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for cost reduction or operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial systems and processes.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards (GAAP) and company policies.
