Yard Workers are important members of the Star Nursery team. They are responsible for unloading and stocking all new plant material in a safe and efficient manner. They provide general plant upkeep & quality control and work outside in yard area of our stores.
Job Description:
- Follows operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time service
- Follows policies in the areas of operations techniques, materials usage.
- Loading and unloading plant material
- Operating a forklift
- Product quality control
- Product knowledge & Plant maintenance (watering, cleaning, pruning)
- Stocking & Labeling
- Store upkeep
- Receiving, Stocking & Moving Merchandise
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Effective and relevant work experience in lawn and garden center industry or equivalent

- Must be able to work long hours (seasonal overtime available) in all types of weather conditions
- Must be able to lift & move plant material
- Must be able to pass a drug test (safety sensitive position)
- Authorization to work in the United States
