What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flour Sales Account Executive position at Star of the West Milling Co.?
Duties:
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for pricing, contracting and promoting products
- Speak with customers on a daily basis to take orders, answer questions and schedule deliveries
- Troubleshoot scheduling and any other road blocks that the customer may encounter
- Work together with other departments (Transportation, Millers, etc.) in order to meet customer demands in a timely fashion
- Assist sales support team as needed to meet customer needs. Such as preparing documents or assisting with other requests
- Prepare/update all sales reports and customer information and customer pricing
- Build new relationships with perspective clients while maintaining current customer relations
- Stay current with market demand and changing trends
- Understand and trade futures proficiently. Implement market-based strategies using futures contracts and options
- Understanding of Commodity Markets and their impact on our pricing model
Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or four to six years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Technical knowledge or experience in milling science cereal chemistry and baking technology is desired, but not required
- Ability to acquire the knowledge through on the job interactions with Star of the West personnel and customer representatives is required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Travel may be required to visit other Star of the West facilities, as well as customer facilities

- Stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects and communicate effectively through talking and hearing
- Occasionally climb or move through facilities as needed
