**ON CALL 24/7**
Special response officers earn a premium rate since you are always on call and must respond to short notice job assignments. You will earn the premium rate by following criteria below. Should you decide that being on call and not having a permanent schedule is not for you, please let us know immediately so that we can find a better fit job / schedule for you.
I understand that:
1. I must maintain an active Texas driver’s license.
2. I must maintain an active security license.
3. I must obtain a TWIC card (company will pay, then payroll deduct) within 90 days of hire.
4. I must fulfill my duties at every post to which I am assigned. If unsure of the post orders, I will let the scheduler know so that training can be scheduled.
5. I agree to work any shift or day that is requested, without restrictions.
6. I must be available to work weekends, overnights and holidays when needed.
7. Some shifts offered could be as few as 6 hours and as much as 18 hours.
8. I agree to be cross trained at as many contract locations as possible.
9. I must return calls from the Scheduler or Account Manager within 30 minutes. Failure to do so may result in review and removal from flex officer status.
10. I must maintain a working cell/smart phone with the EHub application downloaded and running so that I may receive open shift notifications. Any changes in cell phone number must be reported to the Scheduler or the main office immediately.
11. Shift Refusal - should I refuse a shift; the refusal will be tracked in my personnel file. I understand that I am allowed 1 shift refusal per quarter (1 every 90 days). Should I exceed this total, my eligibility as a flex officer could be revoked and I may be assigned a permanent job site at a lesser pay rate.
12. Should I have 2 or more instances of being unreachable or not returning a call by the scheduler within 1 hour in any 30-day period, my eligibility for flex employment will be suspended and I will be assigned a permanent schedule at post pay rates.
13. Flex officers are not eligible for shift bonuses. From time to time, you will see bonuses offered through Ehub.
Responsibi/lities:
- Provide security services to various client sites as assigned
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure a safe and secure environment
- Monitor CCTV cameras and respond to any suspicious activity or alarms
- Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering the premises
- Respond to emergencies and incidents, including providing first aid or contacting appropriate authorities
- Complete detailed reports on security incidents and maintain accurate records
Experience:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions when necessary
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
This position offers an opportunity to work as a Flex Officer, providing security services at various client sites. The successful candidate will have the responsibility of ensuring the safety and security of the premises, monitoring CCTV cameras, enforcing access control procedures, responding to emergencies, and maintaining accurate records. Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred, along with knowledge of CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques. Strong communication skills, the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, and a valid driver's license are also required.
