Job Title: School Safety Officer
Location: Madison, WI
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy School Safety Officer to provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors at our faith-based school and church community. The ideal candidate will be a person of faith (Christian or aligned with strong moral values) who understands the importance of fostering a welcoming and protective atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor school and church premises to ensure safety and security.
- Control access points and check visitor credentials as needed.
- Conduct routine patrols of the property to deter unauthorized activity.
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, or disturbances calmly and professionally.
- Work closely with school staff and administrators to enforce safety policies.
- Assist in conflict resolution and provide guidance to students when necessary.
- Maintain accurate incident reports and communicate concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with school, local, and state safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or school safety preferred.
- Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and professionalism.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must pass a background check and provide references.
- Alignment with Christian values or a faith-based background is preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
