Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our team, specializing in handling Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) billing for Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for pulling and reviewing PAP data, assisting with billing procedures, and communicating with patients to ensure accurate and timely information is relayed.
Key Responsibilities:

RPM Data Management:
- Retrieve and review PAP data from RPM systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Verify that all patient information is up to date and relevant to the billing process.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to confirm that the data aligns with the patient’s treatment plan and meets billing requirements.

Billing and Documentation:
- Assist in processing RPM-related billing for PAP therapy according to insurance and Medicare guidelines.
- Ensure all necessary documentation and patient data is properly filed and entered into the billing system.
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies related to claims.

Patient Interaction:
- Act as the point of contact for patients regarding PAP data, troubleshooting, and providing clear explanations of billing and data-related questions.
- Educate patients on the importance of their data for therapy adherence and billing purposes.
- Provide instructions on how to use equipment effectively if required for data gathering.

Collaboration with Clinical Teams:
- Work closely with physicians, sleep specialists, and respiratory therapists to ensure that patient data meets therapeutic standards.
- Discuss findings and trends from patient data with clinical teams to ensure the best care approach.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Monitor data entry for accuracy and make necessary corrections as required.
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations, and other relevant healthcare billing and data protection laws.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest billing codes, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations related to PAP therapy and RPM.
