SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR
Modesto, CA
Your exceptional interpersonal skills, self-starter attitude and independent work style will be crucial for this Safety and Compliance Coordinator position. You will be the point of contact for safety matters, risk control assessments, and insurance renewals. You will be manage the safety program and ensuring a safe and compliant workplace.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 Per Hour (DOE)
Schedule: Mon-Friday 8 am to 5 pm - Flexibility required!
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prompt response to employees safety concerns or injuries
- Develop, implement and maintain the company safety program (policies, procedures and guidelines)
- Implement and ensure that safety policies are being adhered to
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and make appropriate safety recommendations
- Collaborate with Regulatory agencies, external auditors during inspections and audits
- Maintain and update safety records and corrective actions
- Constant review of policies and procedures to identify trends and areas of improvement
- Manage Workers Compensation claims. Oversee claims process with insurance adjusters, doctors appointments and employee
- Insurance renewals and communication with brokers/carriers
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Safety compliance/risk management in a Corporate environment
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety/HR or related field is desired
- Certificate of Occupational Health and Safety is a plus
