About the Role:

As a Software Architect, you will be a technical leader, driving the architecture, development, and delivery of high-performance, scalable, and maintainable solutions. You will play a crucial role in shaping our technology roadmap, mentoring engineers, and fostering a culture of technical excellence. This role requires deep expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React, Next.js, NestJS and deployment platforms like Vercel and AWS.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design, architecture, and implementation of complex features and applications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, fostering best practices and code quality.
• Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to improve development efficiency and application performance.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and deliver innovative user experiences.
• Champion code quality, testing, and performance optimization.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of our component library and design system.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact on our products.
• Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development processes.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering best practices, with a focus on front-end
  engineering, gained through significant professional experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript (ES6 ), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Extensive experience with React, NestJS and Next.js, including server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and API integration.
• Deep understanding of front-end architecture patterns, state management (e.g., Redux, Context API) and component-based design.
• Some understanding of back-end architecture patterns, databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL) and event-driven architecture
• Strong experience with cloud based hosting and deployment solutions (e.g., Vercel, AWS, GCP)
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
• Solid understanding of performance optimization techniques and web accessibility best practices (WCAG).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead via influence and mentor engineers.
• Experience with digital media or related industries is a plus.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and RESTful APIs.

Salary/Wage Range

$175,000 - $190,000 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
