Summary
While upholding the Star Valley Health mission, vision, and values the Cardiac Catherization Lab/Ambulatory Surgery Center Manager is responsible for the overall management of the activities of the Cardiac Cath, and Ambulatory Surgery Center under the direction of the Director of Surgery. In colobaration with the Surgery Director, the manager helps establish, implement and evaluate policies, procedures, budgets, and programs within the Alpine Cardiac Cath Lab and Abulatory Surgery Center. This position serves as a liaison between the staff and surgery leadership as well as patients, families, and the health care providers. This is an “at-will” position.
- In collaboration with the Surgery Director, develops methods for improving business operations including, but not limited to, planning, directing, and coordinating department business activities
- Provides advice, counsel, education, and service to staff and providers
- Acts as a clinical educator working with staff on cardiac cath and other outpatient surgery competencies, new procedures, and advanced practice skills
- Knowledge and utilization of management, and team-building tools to ensure department personnel, as well as other SV Health staff, work together to ensure departments success
- Ensure the interdisciplinary team provide quality patient care based on surgical needs
- Ability to utilize and ensure the staff follow through with the department guidelines and processes of care keep patients safe and make certain of positive outcomes
- Controls inventory to meet supply needs and work within budget constraints
- Supervise department staff to ensure proper scheduling, training, execution of duties and provide coaching and counseling as needed
- In collaboration with the Surgical Director, prepares and maintains budgets, quality assurance and other reports required for departments function
- Must be willing to rotate call duties as needs arise
- Participate in meetings as assigned
- Perform other duties and tasks as delegated and needed
Abilities & Skills:
- Professional oral and written communication ability
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and Internet
- Multi-tasking skills with the ease of changing directions upon request and need
- Sound analytical and problem-solving proficient
Experience & Education:
- Graduate from an approved School of Nursing or ARRT program and registered within the State of Wyoming
- Three to five years of leadership experience in a medical facility, at least two in a cardiac cath area
- Bachelor’s degree, or higher preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $106,228.00 - $159,949.40 per year
