Overview:
Starboard Choice Marine is seeking a skilled Parts Manager to join our team. The Parts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing, pricing, logistics, and inventory management of parts for our company. Interacting with customer's and technicians is done on a daily basis. Being self motivated, organized and efficient is needed.
Duties:
- Source and procure parts from various suppliers
- Negotiate pricing with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchases
- Manage inventory control and maintain accurate records of stock levels
- Coordinate logistics for timely delivery of parts
- Implement efficient inventory management practices
- Contact customer's to inform them their parts have arrived
- Maintain supplier relationships and manage supplier performance
- Work with technicians to ensure parts are on time and have arrived
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in parts management or a related field
- Strong knowledge of sourcing, pricing, logistics, and inventory control
- Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus
