Some flexibility in hours is permitted, employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and must work 30 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Physical Demands
Office environment with frequent sitting, walking and standing, occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling use of office machinery. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Oral and auditory enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication automated devise such as the telephone.

What You’ll Be Doing
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain general ledger including monthly journal entries
- Maintain fixed asset sub ledger and post related depreciation entries
- Work with Consolidation Department in SF and trading partners to resolve monthly close related issues
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for disbursement, concentration, and payroll funding account
- Review daily bank activity and maintain related cash worksheets
- Work with Corporate Treasury Department in SF to resolve outstanding bank issues
- Prepare monthly inter-company settlements, account clearing, and related journal entries
- Prepare year end audit and tax packages for Starboard Cruise Services
- Prepare property tax returns for Starboard Cruise Services
- Analyze loan activity among subsidiaries and record related journal entries
Qualifications
Education And Experience
- BA, BBA in Accounting or related field
- Minimum (2-3) years of experience with emphasis on balance sheet account analysis and bank reconciliation.
- Experience in retail environment highly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Word and PowerPoint
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SAP, and Peoplesoft Financials
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines as requested
- Ability to follow through on assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Duties and activities reviewed periodically. Supervisor monitors work progress and determines actions on unusual items. Moderate level of problem solving ability.
