TITLE: COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
DEPARTMENT: ADMINISTRATION
SUPERVISOR: DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
FUNCTION: Supports director with coordination of staff engagement, communication efforts and activities, internally and externally within the community.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Outreach, Community Engagement, Communications
1. Participates in work groups to plan community outreach and communications efforts.
2. Works with the Diversity Director, and others as needed, to ensure representation and appropriate cultural and diversity messaging.
3. Monitors and tracks participation for community engagement activities; tracks analytics for electronic communications, including batch e-mails to constituents.
4. May attend and/or participate in events.
5. Represents Starbridge as a Brand Ambassador at all events and activities.
Agency Communications
6. Drafts agency publications, such as annual report, donor newsletter, and workshop catalog.
7. Helps coordinate development and maintenance of web site and monitors analytics
8. Assists in monitoring agency’s presence in social media channels and social media schedule.
9. Maintains agency events & sponsorship calendar.
Additional Responsibilities
10. Actively participates in staff meetings, department in-service and strategic planning meetings.
11. Adheres to Starbridge mission, vision and values.
12. Completes all agency mandated trainings in a timely fashion.
13. Abides by Code of Conduct, which incorporates the Corporate Compliance section.
14. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associates Degree in communications, journalism, or business marketing preferred.
- Minimum two years’ experience in marketing and/or communications for an organization, preferably in a non-profit / not-for-profit environment.
- Knowledge of brand management, social media platforms, and content development desired.
- Experience in writing, copywriting, and graphic design (Adobe InDesign/Canva tools) desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and appropriately communicate to diverse audiences – verbally, in print and on social media.
- Bilingual (Spanish language), sign language a plus.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as determined by events calendar.

- Strong organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-starter who independently manages workload, and problem solves as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Job is performed on site in a typical office environment, and/or remotely.
- Ability to travel to community events and other agency sponsored activities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
