Summary
As a Behavior Technician at StarBright Applied Behavior Analyst, PLLC, you will play a vital role in delivering therapeutic services to children on the autism spectrum. This position is essential for implementing individualized ABA strategies that foster positive behavioral changes and contribute to the overall well-being of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized ABA therapy plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Assist in increasing desired behaviors and reducing challenging behaviors through reinforcement and other behavioral techniques.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior changes accurately.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to provide support and education on behavioral strategies.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of client information.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in ABA practices.
Qualifications
- Experience or education in special education or a related field, preferably working with children with developmental disabilities.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and applied behavior analysis techniques.
- Ability to create and implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, families, and team members.
- Compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical records management is beneficial but not required.
