Our department is made up of three interconnected pillars; People, Business and Cultural Intelligence. The Associate Director, Insights Center Of Excellence, will champion a people-first approach to unearth actionable insights for a major client. The Associate Director is responsible for generating meaningful intelligence across people and culture to drive positive business outcomes. This role will requires a rich understanding of the entire data ecosystem, and the know how to design and implement innovative research solutions. This role centers on data-driven story-telling.

Compensation Range: $105,165 $151,095 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off. Responsibilities
Overall:
- Analyze and connect the dots between diverse and disparate data sets to derive meaningful and actionable insights
- Have deep knowledge of the client’s category, brands, and competitive landscape
- Lead North America insights intelligence gathering & collaborate with global team to develop global audience profiles
- Oversee competitive process (pulling reported data desk research for US, coordinating with other markets, and gleaning insights for channel best practices)
- Assist in designing full funnel channel recommendation
- Assist in developing & presenting client-ready strategy presentations inclusive of data visualization and storytelling
- Conduct research using syndicated tools, social listening, qualitative, and quantitative custom research (if available) to understand key audiences for North American region
- Analyze and connect the dots between various data sources to derive meaningful and actionable insights (who are they, how do they behave within our category, what is the cultural context that impacts them, what are their values, what are their media behaviors, & how can we integrate the brand into their lives in meaningful ways)
- Develop North American audience profile and collaborate with global team to determine universal audience insights vs. regional nuances to create global profile
- Conduct research using syndicated tools, social listening, & desk research to understand category dynamics and competitive forces impacting the brands for North American region
- Coordinate with teams in key global markets to pull reported competitive intel and synthesize global learnings across markets (full funnel comms category best practices & white space opportunities)
- Develop full funnel channel palate consideration set leveraging proprietary tool & collaborate with broader team to triangulate multiple sources to finalize full funnel channel recommendation (audience intelligence, competitive intelligence, & category best practices)
- Collaborate with broader team to synthesize the various learnings into a clear & provocative POV
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5 years in media/marketing/consumer research, consumer insight, business consulting
- Experience with statistical software packages, especially SPSS, R strongly preferred
- Experience with multiple methodological approaches (social listening, syndicated tools, primary & secondary research) & a thorough understanding of the vast data ecosystem tools
- Experience with 1:1 Identity solutions e.g. Epsilon
- Experience with designing concise and effective research plans, deploying plan from survey writing, programming, analysis, through to presentation of findings
- Experience with effective survey writing in line with industry best practices
- Demonstrated ability to work with large data sets
- Experience in data visualization and/or data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills; PowerPoint and advanced Excel
- Ability to manage a team, effectively manage priorities and be accountable for collective team output
