The host position plays a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for our guests by ensuring that each guest is treated with the utmost grace and professionalism. The ideal candidate for this position is guest -focused with a strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. This is a fast-passed position and will require an individual who can perform well under pressure. Responsibilities
- Answer phones in a friendly and professional manner.
- Greet and seat guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Organize and accommodate guest reservations and requests.
- Accurately quote wait-times to guests.
- Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive appropriate number of seatings.
- Coordinate with staff and management to ensure a smooth guest experience.
- Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas.
- Facilitate take-out and delivery order fulfillment including operating delivery partner devices.
- Able to speak knowledgeably about the restaurant and our offerings.
- Side-work as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Previous host experience preferred.
- OpenTable experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Possess a strong work ethic.
- Be able to work in a standing position for duration of shift.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
