What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager - Steel Experience position at Starhired?
Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager with Miscellaneous and Structural Steel construction experience ready to hit the ground running. Our client does fabrication and installation as well as design. This is NOT a hybrid or remote position. This will be onsite from M- F.
What you will do as a Project Manager :
- Read and understand blueprints and specifications to determine materials and quantities required.
- Work with Planning Department to determine all materials, equipment and manpower required for each structural steel project.
- Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Conduct project evaluations and assessments to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage project risks and issues, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies and best practices
What you will need as a Project Manager :
- 5 years of experience managing construction projects ( steel experience highly desirable)
- Construction Management degree
- Excellent communication skills
- valid driver's license with clean driving record
