- Production Scheduling:
- Develop detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory levels.
- Maintain detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory levels.
- Ensure schedules are realistic and achievable, considering resource availability, capacity constraints, and any external factors that may affect production.
- Adjust production schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand, production delays, or unforeseen issues.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular reports on production status, inventory levels, and performance to management.
- Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, sales, and procurement) to align production plans with business goals.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, production managers, and other departments to address issues and ensure smooth production operations.
- Collaborate with production managers, operators, and other departments (e.g., procurement, quality control, logistics) to ensure the availability of raw materials, machinery, and labor for production.
- Communicate schedule changes, production progress, and any issues that may impact timelines to all relevant teams.
- Ensure smooth handoffs between departments to minimize delays and avoid bottlenecks in the production process.
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:
- Identify and resolve any issues that may affect production timelines, such as equipment breakdowns, supply shortages, or labor shortages.
- Proactively identify potential delays and work to find solutions, adjusting schedules to minimize disruption to the production process.
- Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor the progress of production runs and ensure that deadlines are met according to the established schedule.
- Track production performance and report any deviations from the schedule, including delays, disruptions, or other issues.
- Provide regular reports on production status, progress, and any issues to management.
- Risk Management:
- Assess risks associated with production delays, material shortages, and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
- Monitor potential disruptions in the supply chain.
Skills:
