Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs assembly of wiring harnesses and mechanical components using hand and power tools.
  • Reads and interprets engineering instructions, specifications, and work orders.
  • Uses precision measuring instruments and tools required for the tasks.
  • Inspects work for conformance to specifications.
  • Completes all work correctly and in a timely manner.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to use hand and power tools with precision.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics.
  • Working knowledge of wire harness and electronics installation.
  • Working knowledge of acceptance testing and troubleshooting.
  • Basic shop math in metric and imperial units.
  • Work well both independently and with others.
  • Able to identify issues and determine solutions in a timely manner.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Able to bend, stretch, work with hands, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
  • Must be able to visually inspect machines.
  • Must be able to wear required safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and respirator as needed.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Education and Experience:

  • High School or GED.  Vocational, or Community College degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated work experience in a similar position.
  • IPC-610, IPC-620, and/or J-STD certifications preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by 22 U.S.C. § 6010.
