Temp appliance technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Appliance Technician to work temporary for a few weeks in March. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As an Appliance Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various household appliances in a field service environment. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and effective communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction. Although this is temporary, it can turn into more jobs given in the future on an as needed basis (such as a side job) or possibly a part time position in the future.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot appliance issues, including electrical and mechanical problems.
• Perform repairs on a wide range of appliances such as refrigerators, ovens, washers, and dryers.
• Utilize schematics and technical manuals to guide repair processes effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding issues and solutions.
• Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, to transport tools and equipment to job sites.
• Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new appliance technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in appliance repair or related field service roles.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand schematics.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
• systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a delivery driver is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing technologies in appliance repair.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
