What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator position at Stark County Hunger Task Force?
This is a brand new position that is responsible for the coordination of the Backpack for Kids Program. This is a weekend meal program serving 2,150 children a week.
Role and Responsibilities
· Coordinates the Backpack for Kids program
· Orders food weekly for the Backpack for Kids program through various vendors
· Orders program supplies for the Backpack for Kids program
· Recruits and retains volunteers for the Backpack for Kids program
· Coordinates large volunteer groups for the Backpack for Kids program
· Makes weekly menus for the Backpack for Kids program
· Packs bags for special diets and restrictions for the Backpack for Kids program
· Maintains communication with school and library coordinators
· Maintains a clean and organized program space
· Assists our partner schools with enrollment
· Works resource table at various school open houses and other community events when needed
· Visits network pantries to ensure compliance when needed
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma/GED
Hours are 9am-2pm Tuesday-Friday
Must be able to lift 20 pounds
Some county travel
Preferred Skills
Organization, customer service, strong communication skills, basic computer knowledge.
Reports to:

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
