Position Summary
The Sales Assistant will be responsible for entering, maintaining, and validating all product-related data in our internal systems, ensuring every item is presented accurately, professionally, and compellingly for sales. This role works closely with our internal sales reps, brand partners, and vendors to manage product setup, asset collection, and ongoing updates. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, dependable, fashion-minded, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Product Setup & Data Management
- Enter and organize all product data to ensure items are sales-ready in our internal systems
- Ensure product listings include accurate specs, compelling descriptions, high-quality images, and all necessary digital assets
- Maintain consistency in formatting, grammar, and product categorization
- Make updates to product records as changes or new details become available
Cross-Team Communication & Support
- Serve as a key liaison between the sales team and product database, ensuring they have the most accurate and updated product information
- Respond to incoming sales rep requests related to product setup, pricing, availability, and updates
- Communicate with external customers to provide support, answer questions, and deliver accurate product-related information
- Work directly with brands and vendors to collect, clarify, and update product assets, pricing, and key marketing materials
- Assist in preparing and distributing sales support materials, presentations, and digital catalogs as needed
Relationship & Program Management
- Support program builds by coordinating with reps and vendors to curate and prepare product selections tailored to client needs
- Help identify new and unique product opportunities from existing or new vendors that align with customer interests and program objectives
- Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with brand partners, vendors, and reps through professional and timely communication
- Track and help manage program timelines, updates, and deliverables to ensure a smooth customer experience
- Collaborate with the sales team to brainstorm creative product offerings or bundles that align with seasonal trends and market demands
- Serve as an internal advocate for the customer experience—ensuring products are not only listed correctly but positioned to succeed
Visual & Sales Optimization
- Ensure product listings are not only accurate, but visually appealing and optimized for virtual sales environments
- Provide creative input on how to best present new and seasonal products
- Use tools like PowerPoint or image editing software (when needed) to help improve the visual display of items
