Job Title: Management Clerk

Provides administrative and clerical support to the Asset Management Department. Perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as written correspondence, scheduling, answering phones, organizing, and maintaining paper/electronic files.

General Purpose
Provides administrative and clerical support to the Asset Management Department. Perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as written correspondence, scheduling, answering phones, organizing, and maintaining paper/electronic files.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in conducting the day-to-day operations of the property including, but not limited to, rent collection, eviction notices, re-certifications, and work orders.
- Assist with annual unit inspections; set up and maintain files; write correspondences, memos, and notices.
- Mails and tracks of all appropriate notices, income verifications, and all other related mail
- Answer phone calls and respond to general questions regarding SMHA programs; record names, addresses, messages, etc. of residents and others calling the office with concerns.
- Assists Asset Manager with the orientation of residents with social, health, welfare, and recreation services.
- Assists in pre-vacate inspections and advises the resident on work required to minimize move-out charges.Knowledge of and maintains a record of all changes in SMHA and HUD policies, practices, rules, and regulations.
- In the absence of the Asset Manager, is responsible for carrying on with the routine day-to-day duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Certification/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable under SMHA policies.
Qualifications/skills
- One (1) year of experience in a housing-related field or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job.
- Basic computer skills and applicable office software (Microsoft Office)
- Standard business office equipment.
