- UNARMED.
- SHIFT: 1st Shift Monday thru Friday (8am to 5:15pm)
- FULL-TIME POSITION.
- MUST BE COVID-19, Flu, and TB VACCINATED.
ABOUT THE JOB:
As a security officer, you will ensure that the property is protected for the employees and all visitors. All unarmed Security Professionals will be conducting their daily operations for the site as provided by their supervisor. These will be in the post orders, ensuring what will be expected while on shift. The position is full-time. You will be responsible for observing suspicious activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide Customer Service to employees, contractors, and all visitors.
- Being familiar with the rules and regulations that will be provided.
- Demonstrate superior skills when dealing with emergencies or crises while being calm and relaxed using sound judgment.
- Handling de-escalation techniques when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
- Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
- Ensure that all daily reports are accounted for.
- Complete detailed incident reports when needed.
MUST HAVE EXCELLENT OBSERVATION SKILLS:
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Make guests aware of rules that must be adhered to.
- Remove trespassers or unwanted individuals from the property.
- Contact the relevant authorities if a crime is committed or an accident occurs.
- Report to supervisors regularly.
- Record any suspicious activities with the supervisor.
Security Guard Requirements:
- Valid Government Issued Photo ID.
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
- State PERC Card.
- Basic first aid and CPR skills would be advantageous.
- Physical strength and fitness. MUST BE ABLE TO SPRINT to alarm notifications.
- Prior experience as a Security Guard would be advantageous.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be Covid, Flu, and TB vaccinated.
Physical Requirements:
- Constant – Seeing, hearing, feeling, standing, walking.
- Occasional – reaching, stooping, climbing, balancing, driving, bending, twisting, handling paperwork. Carrying, lifting pushing, pulling, and gripping of objects ranging in weight from under 20 lbs. to over 50 lbs.
To be successful as a Security Guard you must be alert and professional. A good Security Guard is aware of all visitors to the property and ensures that no inappropriate actions occur.
