Drill Press Operator

We are seeking a skilled Drill Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating and maintaining a drill press to create precision parts, collaborating with material handler and other team members to support the fabrication and assembly of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, possess a positive attitude & team spirit and enjoy working day shifts from Monday – Friday (7am-5pm).

Essential Job Functions

· Operate drill press machines to drill, countersink, or tapping holes according to blueprints and specifications.

· Select appropriate drill bits, taps, set machine parameters, and position workpieces securely.

· Monitor drilling processes to ensure precision and quality.

· Work closely with material handler to prepare materials for welding, such as drilling holes for alignment, fixtures, or structural support.

· Coordinate with material handler to ensure that drilled parts meet specifications for assembly and fabrication.

· Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

· Support material and order prep on an "as needed" basis

· Read and understand tape measure, calipers and thread gauges

· Operate Forklift & Crane

· Maintain a clean and safe working environment

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and experienced with manufacturing machinery.

· 4 years machining experience

· Must be able to pass background and substance screening

· Must be able to meet organizational performance factors such as safety, quality, attendance and productivity standards

· General ISO-9001 awareness and understanding of production-related requirements

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to stand and work for a minimum of 9-hour shift

· Occasional lifting (up to 50lbs), stretching and bending is required
