We’re seeking a talented Product Manager with a strong foundation in engineering and project management to join our team and serve as the right hand of our Lead Engineer—the creator of our product line. This role is ideal for someone eager to step into a dynamic position that bridges engineering, operations, and leadership.
In this role, you'll take on many of the organizational and management responsibilities currently handled by our Lead Engineer. You'll help manage the flow of technical work, oversee drafting progress, communicate deadlines, and coordinate project activities—all while deepening your product knowledge and working closely with design and production.
What You'll Do:
Act as the right hand of our Lead Engineer—providing organizational and project management support.
- Oversee and support the drafting team to ensure accuracy, focus, and timely task completion
- Assign due dates based on job requirements and project priorities
- Communicate project status and updates with the leadership team
- Manage projects including Engineering Change Order completion, processing of new specialty Sales Orders
- Perform and/or supervise creation of design layouts and detailed drawings
- Prove designs with Solidworks FEA analysis (2D, elastic & plastic-elastic)
- Perform product calculations and develop tools to simplify operations
- Provide engineering support to Operations and Sales teams
- Create engineering reports, documenting design efforts and results
- Document non-conformance resolutions and support root cause analysis with the Process Control Manager
- Identify opportunities for product and process improvement
- Maintain accurate engineering records and reports.
Education and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in application drafting, manufacturing, and project management
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, drafting processes, and design documentation.
- Familiarity with filtration and pipeline applications (e.g., separators, pig traps) preferred.
- Essential knowledge of customer and industry specifications such as ASME Code Section VIII Div. 1, ASME B31.3, B31.8, B31.4, B16.5, NACE MR-0175 ISO 15156, API
- SolidWorks experience, including FEA
- Experience with ERP and PDM systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with customer standards and inside sales to provide solutions for customer requests
- Background and substance screening required
Physical Requirements
·This position requires sitting at a computer desk for multiple hours at a time. Physical demands will involve bending, stooping, lifting, grasping, pushing, pulling and otherwise moving objects weighing as much as 30 lbs.
