The full time custodian (midnight) help to keep Stark State buildings, offices and classrooms clean, sanitary and orderly condition. In this job you will play an essential part in ensuring that students enjoy well maintained and clean facilities while they're focusing on their studies. What you do matters here!
Typical Hours of Work:
Typical hours are Sunday through Thursday -11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
Location: Main Campus, North Canton.
Pay: 14.94 - 19.41/hour (based on experience), plus a $0.60/shift differential.

Typical Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain building cleanliness – all aspects of cleaning including floors, windows, walls, fixtures, restrooms, ceilings, furniture, whiteboards, trash and recycling removal.
- Perform routine light maintenance, room set ups and moving furniture.
- Replace light bulbs, perform painting, carpet repair, and floor care (buffing, stripping, and waxing) Use of environmentally approved products & equipment.
- Building repair: painting, repair, carpet repair, floor stripping and waxing.
- Assist grounds, maintenance, and shipping/receiving area as necessary (snow removal, equipment repair, installing, moving, etc.).
To be Considered You'll Need:
High School Diploma or GED, a valid Ohio driver's license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) record. The ability to operate cleaning equipment and the ability to frequently carry up to 25 lbs. and lift 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications (although not required):
10 hr. OSHA Certification or ability to obtain this certification within one year of hire.

Ohio Public Employees Retirement System
The Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS), was established to provide a secure retirement for Ohio's public employees and their families. OPERS is available to all staff Members. The College contributes 14% of the employees' wages for the retirement benefit and the employee contributes 10%.
State Teachers Retirement System
The State Teachers Retirement System (STRS), was established to provide a secure retirement for Ohio's public educators. STRS is available to all faculty members. The College contributes 14% of the employees' wages for the retirement benefit and the employee contributes 14% of their wages toward the retirement benefit.

Faculty and staff may elect the Alternative Retirement Plan (ARP) in lieu of one of the state plans.
Voluntary Supplemental Retirement Accounts
