**Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our medical staff in a fast-paced hospital setting. This role requires a strong foundation in anatomy and the ability to work effectively in a Level II Trauma Center environment. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and have a background in urgent care, we encourage you to apply. **Duties:** - Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient exams, treatments, and procedures. - Administer medications and injections, ensuring proper dosages and documentation. - Perform routine medical tests, including EKGs and blood draws. - Conduct patient intake and provide education on medication usage, disease prevention, and treatment plans. - Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs and assisting with lab tests. - Utilize X-ray equipment to capture images for diagnosis and treatment purposes. - Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and medical procedures. - Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. - Assist with emergency situations, including administering emergency medications and responding to urgent care situations. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. **Requirements:** - High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred. - Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA). - Prior experience working in a hospital or urgent care setting is highly desirable. - Proficiency in anatomy and medical terminology. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. - Familiarity with emergency medicine and the ability to respond to urgent care situations. - Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and adhering to hospital policies and procedures. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
