Scalamandré is hiring a Showroom Sales Representative for our NYC showroom, offering a unique training ground for experienced trade sales professionals. In this position you will provide expert design consultation, build strong client relationships, and develop deep product knowledge, with potential future opportunities for advancement into a Territory Sales Representative role covering Manhattan/Brooklyn.
The compensation package comprises a base salary and commission, with an anticipated total annual earning potential of approximately $85,000

Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients through personalized showroom consultations and proactive outreach.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on product selection, design solutions, and project specifications.
- Anticipate client needs and proactively offer solutions to enhance their design projects.
- Drive sales by actively engaging with clients, understanding their design visions, and presenting compelling product recommendations.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the showroom environment, leveraging networking and industry knowledge.
- Conduct showroom tours and presentations to showcase Scalamandré's product offerings and design capabilities.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Scalamandré's product lines, including materials, construction, and design applications.
- Provide expert design consultation, assisting clients in selecting and specifying high-end custom and stock products.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, design innovations, and competitive offerings.
- Process client orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring seamless order fulfillment.
- Track order status and provide timely updates to clients, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Maintain meticulous client records and documentation.
- Provide exemplary after sales service.
- Utilize Scalamandré’s CRM and sales reporting tools to manage client accounts, track sales performance, and generate reports.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand your professional network and build brand awareness.
- Perform other task and duties as assigned
- A genuine passion for and deep understanding of the luxury interior design industry.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, lasting client relationships.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Superior organizational and follow-through abilities.
- A strong visual sense and the ability to provide expert design consultation.
- Previous sales experience within the interior design trade is a plus!
- Proficiency in using CRM and sales reporting tools.
- Preferred: B.A./B.S. Degree in Interior Design or related field, with 2 years of fabric sales experience "to the trade," or 5 years of relevant experience.
