Starkey Hearing is adding a Core Technician - Standard Repair to our Eden Prairie, MN manufacturing team. If you enjoy detailed work which includes analyzing, recording and tracking customer complaints using a computer and ten key, this may be your next career move. Working Conditions
The target rate for this position is between $17.03 to $23.22 year. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Job Responsibilities
- Technician can navigate to applicable Job Method
- Wand bar code in CQM and verify all information
- Verify serials number, bill to ship to, part numbers match repair form work order and devices.
- Read the repair form
- Perform visual inspection and verify codes
- Perform listen checks
- Enter/Change data in order amend
- Scan the AP shell (if applicable)
- Fill out SLS form (if applicable)
- Enter symptom, diagnosis, and treatment in CQM for AP
- Scan and mark repair form
- Transfer AP in OMT or submit shell request
- Address OMT failure (if applicable)
- Visual inspection, verify serial number of aid/charger
- Enter symptom, diagnosis, and treatment in CQM of RIC/Charger
- Verify scanned repair form
- Transfer aid/charger
- Collect aids/chargers – daily
- Dispose of paperwork
- Return boxes
- Record daily output
- Communicate Quality issues
- Communicate quality issues to PM/Quality technician
- Attend departmental meetings and communicate issues
- Communicate information to tech support
- Will be required to flex into other Core Tech positions when needed
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements
Education
- Ability to read and comprehend information on standard work instructions
- Certification is reached once employee reaches Certifications Standards of job knowledge, quality measures, and output based on each job function
- Knowledge of parts of the ear and/or hearing aid is required
- Knowledge of Starkey's computer systems required
- Excellent attention to details required
- Strong organizational skills desired
- Strong communication skills desired.
- Good hand-eye coordination required.
- Good manual dexterity required.
- Good hearing to test sound of aid desired
Working Conditions
- PPE such as gloves is encouraged to be worn when using machinery such as: Drill, Redwing motors, and buffing motors, but not required
- Jobholder may have noise and dust in work area.
- Jobholder is infrequently exposed to hazardous chemicals
- Sitting 95% of workday
- Regular attendance and responsiveness to reasonable job-related directives as given by supervisor
- Jobholder will spend much of their time typing 10 key into Starkey systems.
