What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Concrete Laborer position at Starkrete?
We are looking to employ a concrete laborer to assist in loading and unloading vehicles, excavation, building forms, pouring concrete, placing and finishing concrete using trowels, floats, or other tools.
To be successful as a concrete laborer, you are required to show up on time, be able to receive duties and tasks, manage your time to complete those duties and tasks while maintaining a high standard of work. Your ability to receive and meet job directions and fulfill those directions will be vital. To ensure your success, we hope you are able to learn the thought processes behind those tasks and be able to delegate them to others eventually.
Concrete Laborer Responsibilities:
- Loading and Unloading vehicles with tools and materials
- Excavating.
- Disposing of excavation material via small dump trucks.
- Designing and building forms.
- Setting up the forms.
- Preparing the subbase.
- Pouring concrete.
- Using wire mesh to reinforce the concrete.
- Placing and finishing concrete.
- Molding expansion joints and edges.
- Using stains or colors to add the finishing touch.
- Applying waterproofing and sealant to protect the concrete work.
- Monitoring the material to ensure it hardens to a durable finish.
