Description : Position Summary :
This individual will manage the marketing aspects for a Commercial Lines team. This person will be responsible for knowing the market and appetite of various carriers for the placement of S&S business. This person will be responsible for marketing new and renewal business with approved S&S carriers and wholesalers to negotiate the best terms and conditions, and rates for the client.
This role strictly adheres to our Corporate Standards of Excellence and procedural guidelines spelled out in our Professional Procedure Manual.
Essential Job Functions :
- Market new and renewal business.
- Check quotes received against applications and make changes accordingly.
- Display working knowledge of carriers’ various insurance products.
- Manage ImageRight to do lists.
- Attach all pertinent marketing documents to the ImageRight system.
- Advise and assist Account Executives and Account Managers when needed.
- Display working knowledge of binding authority for each carrier.
- Attend expiration meetings.
- Provide guidance on coverage and forms and educate Account Executives and Account Managers.
- Utilize online company rating on carrier sites as needed.
- Attend professional education courses as requested by Starkweather & Shepley.
