What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Assist Team Member position at Starlight Theatre?
Starlight is looking for friendly and outgoing "Stars" to provide first class service as Guest Assist Team Members! These positions will be part-time working on a seasonal basis.
This is a key position in the Starlight Operations department that will provide event-day support by offering supervision, assistance, guidance, high-quality guest service, and a safe, welcoming environment.
This role is event-based with an expectation to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Able to work outdoors in the heat, cold, rain, and high humidity. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, stand and walk for long periods and on inclines, lift and carry equipment, and push wheelchairs up to a 20% grade.
Required Accountabilities & Deliverables:
- Embraces Starlight’s mission, vision, and values.
- Supports front-of-house operations in all activities needed to provide a positive and safe guest experience.
- Supervise and assist Ambassador staff through the gate entry process while welcoming guests and providing seating assistance.
- Provide direction, answer questions, and assist guests to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Be observant and aware of the surroundings, providing safety and crowd management during events.
- Maintain a visible and active presence within/adjacent to the seating area or area as assigned.
- Provide first-level intervention for situations disruptive to the guest experience.
- Assist management as needed with any medical incidents.
- Ability to use a two-way radio and earpiece for in-event communication.
- Assist with emergency operations procedures for guests in emergencies, such as severe weather and security-related incidents.

- Lead and function calmly in emergencies and other high-stress situations.
Preferred Education and/or Work Experience:
- Knowledge of Broadway shows and concerts.
- Experience working events with a large number of people.
- Excellent customer service and emergency preparedness.
