The Facilities Technician is responsible for the daily operation and physical appearance of Starlight Theatre, restoring the venue to tip-top shape after events, setting areas in the facility for the next event, and day-to-day maintenance.

The Facilities Technician is responsible for the daily operation and physical appearance of Starlight Theatre, restoring the venue to tip-top shape after events, setting areas in the facility for the next event, and day-to-day maintenance.
Required Accountabilities & Deliverables
- Embraces Starlight’s mission, vision, values, and commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access.
- Assist with all event changeovers, room set-ups, and other event-based needs.
- Performs daily housekeeping, janitorial, and custodial duties throughout the venue.
- Assists with the overall snow removal operations within the venue boundaries.
- Assists in coordinating all waste and recycling collection, separation, and removal processes.
- Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, equipment repairs, and display fountain cleaning, treating & maintenance.
- Provide event-based maintenance and oversight of janitorial services.
Preferred Skills And Abilities
- Exhibit good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand tools, fire hydrants, power washers, fountains, power tools, and floor scrubbers.
- Awareness of basic safety/risk management and environmental quality procedures.
- Able to work independently, and part of a small but critically important team.
- High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience.
- Experience in the performing arts industry/facility/event operations.
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to crawl, crouch, balance, stoop, kneel, or stand for long periods.
- Ability to use ladders up to 30 ft. and work comfortably at heights exceeding 25 ft.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, as well as work on event nights.
