Job Description

Essential Job functions:

• Measurement & fitting of Orthopedic Braces and other associated products.
• Implements patient/caregiver teaching during the initial set-up and at any additional follow-up calls
• Ability to make necessary modifications and to fit the client.
• Set-up of all equipment in the facility.
• Performs environmental safety factors listed on the Patient Plan of Care.
• Must be knowledgeable in the following areas:
• Use and care of the Products
• Fitting problems and how to solve them
• Equipment usage and maintenance
• Infection Control (Use of Universal Precautions)
• Patient Rights and Responsibilities
• Company's services and availability
• Patient Plan of Care and Follow-up
• Advance Directive Policies and Procedures
• All Patient oriented paperwork
• Performs other duties as assigned

Physical Job Requirements: - list any lifting requirements, etc.

• Physical mobility, which includes movement from place to place on the job, taking distance and speed into account.
• Physical agility, which includes ability to maneuver body while in place.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers.
• Endurance (e.g. continuous typing, prolonged standing/bending, walking).

Environmental Risks:

• Allergens: dust, mold and/or pollen
• Combative Patients / Visitors

Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements:

• Required Education High School Degree or Equivalent *unless located in a state that requires licensing Preferred Education BA or BS Degree Athletic Training, A.T.C. C
• Certified Orthotic Fitter, C.O.F. DME or orthoses related medical experience

Travel:

• Travel to other locations as needed by the department.
