Rover Autonomy Engineer
In this role, you will lead development of the autonomy system for Starpath's fleet of autonomous mining robots from sensor selection through qualification and lunar surface operations.
Responsibilities
- Take high ownership of the autonomy system from concept through operation on the lunar surface.
- Design full autonomy architecture including selecting sensors, building sensor fusion algorithms, and designing other software algorithms needed for autonomy on the surface of the moon and mars
- Write performant, highly reliable, and maintainable autonomy code for Starpath's fleet of lunar rovers
- Create plan for qualification of autonomy system prior to initial lunar mission
- Work with the Embedded Software team to integrate autonomy algorithms onto custom spacefaring hardware
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.

EAR REQUIREMENTS :
To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Salary : $130,000 - $210,000
