This position is responsible for supporting the Workers Compensation Claims Team. The work activities may include:

Essential Job Functions:
This position is responsible for supporting the Workers Compensation Claims Team. The work activities may include:
- Policy investigation of new New York claims
- Monitor and track incoming Arizona Workers Comp notices
- Monitor No Coverage on diary until either dismissal or identification of proper coverage
- Ensure all state board matters are handled within given timelines
- Research policy and client information in Salesforce & Starr360
- Assist with other Workers Comp-related administrative matters including but not limited to Pre-Hearing Notice research, creation of Posting Records, and other projects as assigned
- Assist with research and payment of fines and penalties
- Filing of denials with the state board
- 3-5 years experience in the insurance industry, ideally in the Workers Compensation line of business
- Extra consideration will be given to a candidate already licensed in New York State
- A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but will also look at relevant job experience
- Demonstrated success of the claims processes, compliance requirements, and strong analytical capability will be important
- Must have experience with a claims case management system and understand the claims lifecycle.
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Must be self-motivated and a team player
- Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Must be service and risk-management oriented
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point
